In this exhibition David presented work created at Penland School of Craft as well as hot shops in Los Angeles. The pieces are unified in their otherworldly qualities, an effect produced by a combination of his strong background in glass pattern making and new attention to hot and solid sculpting techniques. This application brings to life narratives of mysticism and the macabre. Such as the narrative of controlling one’s destiny as seen through a crystal ball.

You might see how certain events can play out but only we are capable of truly controlling the outcome we want in our lives.
